El Yucateco Achiote Paste – Annatto Seasoning 100g
Achiote paste is precisely made with annatto seeds of excellent quality, used to give colour, and of course as an excellent seasoning, grown in the humid tropical weather of the Yucatan Peninsula in the southeast of Mexico. It is traditionally used as seasoning in the famous Yucatecan and Central American dishes, mainly those influenced by the Mayan Culture. It is ideal to marinate or to prepare grilled or roasted beef, chicken and the most famous Cochinita Pibil. No colouring added.
It is really easy to prepare, you can dilute 1 oz of paste with 1/2 cup of vinegar or 50 ml of liquid annatto. Ready to use, you can marinate and seasoning 1kg of beef, pork, chicken or fish.
